A car is an extension of one’s aesthetic choices, so it makes sense that over the years automobile companies have partnered with fashion brands in an attempt to create something special. Over the last couple of years we’ve been inundated with these partnerships, whether it’s Porsche tapping Aimé Leon Dore to produce a car and capsule collection, or Mercedes-Benz working with Virgil Abloh to reimagine the G-Wagon. But this isn’t a new concept. In the early ‘90s Ford partnered with Eddie Bauer on an Explorer that would become very popular, and in the 2000s, Chevy tried to re-create that success by working with The North Face.
