Celebrities are always copping some new jewelry. Maybe not all of it is as extravagent as Lil Uzi Vert’s $24 million pink forehead diamond, but seeing the custom pieces that plenty of our favorite rappers and entertainers are adding to their collections from week-to-week is certainly captivating. It isn’t always custom pendants and diamond-covered watches either. Grills made of gemstones, clothing adorned with thousands of crystals, and even chains that display real photographs surrounded by diamonds were all on display this month.

Kim Kardashian showed off a brand new opal grill on Instagram, Lil Baby rocked the stage at the 2021 Grammys in a crystal-covered vest, and Lil Durk honoring his late friend King Von with some custom ice. Take a closer look at some of the biggest celebrity jewelry purchases from March below.

Price: $100

Lil Uzi Vert made headlines a few months ago when he pierced a multi-million dollar pink diamond at the center of his forehead. IDK was a bit more tame with his face piercing. The rapper chose to celebrate his latest single “Just Like Martin” by getting a single flawless VVS diamond implanted on his right cheek. He paid much less than Uzi too. The DMV native took to Twitter to let his fans know that the piercing only costs $100. “I prefer investing in homes over diamonds,” he wrote. IDK even showed the piercing being done and getting the diamond tested on his official TikTok account.

Price: $5,000 (estimate)

Kim Kardashian decided it was time for her to cop a set of grills. On March 17, she took to Instagram to give her over 212 million followers at close up look at the new look for her bottom row of teeth. The grills featured opals, her birthstone, outlined by pavé diamonds. The set was crafted by notable celebrity jeweler Gabby Elan who has also made various pieces for stars like Pharrell, ASAP Ferg, Dua Lipa, and more. Kardashian isn’t the first person to cop themselves an opal grill though. Smino copped an almost identical grill of his own back in December. While the unique look is pleasant to the eye, CEO of Rare Carats Ajay Anand told Page Six Style that the weakness of opal stones makes them a poor choice for a custom piece like this.

Lil Durk decided to get a pair of custom dog tags created to honor his late friend King Von. The dog tags were created by New York jeweler Izzy of NYC Luxury Co. The two dog tags hang from a 30 pointer tennis chain made of all VVS E color stones. Each tag displays a different photo of Durk beside Von.

Cost: $300,000

Tee Grizzley hit up Atlanta’s Icebox Diamonds & Watches earlier this month to pick up a new custom pendant. He scooped up an all white gold version of a pendant covered in over 200 carats of VS diamonds that depicted a roaring half grizzly bear/half Tee Grizzley face to match the rose gold one he has been frequently rocking for some time. He also copped that one from Icebox back in 2018. Red diamonds were used to represent blood dripping from its mouth, its tongue, and scratches on the bear’s face. The lock on the massive Cuban link chain was also customized with a paw print on the outside. When it is undone, it reveals red scratch marks to make it look as if the bear claw has just scratched the surface of the lock.
