Draymond Green Says Boston Celtics Fans Called Him the "N" Word During the NBA Finals

Draymond Green joins 'Unfiltered With Complex Sports' to talk the NBA Finals, the Warriors Dynasty, the Memphis Grizzlies so-called rivalry, and more.

Whether it’s on the court, on his podcast, or on social media, Draymond Green has never been one to hold his tongue. The now four-time NBA champion is accustomed to being at the forefront of debates and analysis for his play on the court or his commentary off the court. In recent years, Draymond Green has stepped into the media world, donning himself as the “New Media.”  From his spontaneous segments on TNT’s Inside the NBA to his podcast during the season, to his show Throwing Bones, Draymond makes sure his voice is heard whether you like it or not.

LeBron James’ media company Uninterrupted and Draymond announced that he’ll be bringing back Throwing Bones for a second season. Season two’s guest list will feature Bay Area legend E-40, boxer Ryan Garcia, sports broadcaster Ros Gold-Onwude, celebrity jeweler Ben Baller, Los Angeles Lakers forward Juan Toscano-Anderson, 13-year NBA veteran and ESPN analyst Jalen Rose, and more. In a press release Uninterrupted stated, “Throwing Bones is a competitive game of dominoes where pro-athletes, entertainers, and tastemakers can show up as their full selves to discuss any and everything in culture, unfiltered. It’s a meeting of the minds for a cultural expose of bones over a competitive game.”

In the first episode of our new Complex Sports social series titled Unfiltered With Complex Sports—which you can watch in full above— Pierce Simpson sat down with Green before the NBA season to discuss his impact on the media, the Warriors past NBA Finals run including Celtics fans using vulgar language toward him, the Memphis Grizzlies so-called rivalry, Kevin Durant offseason rumors, and more.
