As I promised, I have come to change my review to 5 star as i love 1000 roll Scott Single ply. So If you are a old timer as my family is, you may have gotten a newer style Scott. It says single ply and it is squishy soft. that doesn't last as long and i personally don't much care for it. However! Don't frett! Look closely when you order or buy your tp if you are having the same issue. I have seen several people post the same so I dont feel to left out. However, the newer brand does not say 1000* on it, look close, if it says Rapid dissolving * This is not the regular one!! They look a lot alike till you look close.
From my great grandmother to me, my family has used Scott 1000 sheet...at least 70 years. Have tried other brands but always come back to Scott. Stronger than any other brand; economical and soft. I will never use any other brand.
I love Scott Tissue!! All my life I have used it! I even had to retrain my wife after we got married, because she was used to quilted toilet paper! Not sure what happened here but we got a roll from the last 12 pack that looked like somebody emptied out a lint trap wile it was being rolled onto the tube! When we first pulled on it a huge cloud of really fine powdery lint flew out into the room!! Strange!! Then I slowly unrolled it a little bit and there are globs of the powdery stuff all throughout the roll. It seems to be the only roll in the pack that missed quality control! After my sneezing fit was over I grabbed another roll from the pack and it seemed fine!
The other day go into Fred Meyer‘s being excited to get my 15 pack of Scott's tissue that's on sale for $12.99. To my surprise I noticed there are tiny designer holes in the tissue. Now mind you this is the 1000 sheets that I always buy. Then I see the four pack that's regular price $4.99 — they didn't have the tiny designer holes in the sheets, it was the tissue that I'm familiar with. So I bought the four pack. I come home to look at the tissue that I purchased about three months ago, on sale, and sure enough they have the small tiny designer holes. What I think I'm noticing, the same as shopping at the outlet stores, we're not getting the same quality when purchasing the items “on sale” vs the real quality at regular price.
The tissue that's on sale is not The original Scott's tissue that have the strong solid 1000 sheets. I do believe it has the 1000 sheets however it's not the solid sheets that we're used to. The sheets that are on sale – the 1000 sheets is a different quality.
